REVIEW: Maybelline Color Drama intense velvet lip pencil “Fab Orange”

Als ik van één ding geen genoeg kan krijgen op het moment, zijn het matte lipkleuren. Ik raak mijn glanzende lipsticks amper aan. Is deze, na de Catrice Ultimate Stay lipsticks, opnieuw een matte budgettopper? Lees verder voor mijn review!

Maybelline Color Drama is te koop in drogisterijen voor €6,99 – maar ik toonde hem al in deze shoplog, waar ik hem voor enkele centjes minder kocht op ASOS.  Lekker betaalbaar dus!

You can buy these Color Drama lippencils in the drugstore for €6,99. I already showed this one in my haul from ASOS, where I bought it for a few cents less.

 

Color Drama is een dikkere versie van het doorsnee lippotlood. Ze zijn simpel zwart met een kleuraanwijzing aan de achterkant. Handig! Ik koos de kleur Fab Orange, een felle oranje kleur met een rode ondertoon.

Color Drama is a chubbier version of your everyday liner. The packaging is simple and sleek black, with a colour indication at the bottom – very convenient! I picked the colour ‘Fab Orange’, a bright orange with a red undertone.

Jammer genoeg zijn de Color Drama lip pencils geen “opdraaibaar” potlood, je moet het zelf slijpen. Net iets onhandiger. Fab Orange is wel lekker gepigmenteerd, hier raakte ik amper m’n hand aan!

Unfortunately, the pencils aren’t the twist-up kind, so you have to sharpen them yourself. Fab Orange has amazing pigmentation – I barely touched my hand for this swatch!

 

Hieronder zie je een het effect op mijn lippen en een full face foto. Het lippotlood dekt in één laagje en voelt goed aan. Hij is mat, zonder trekkerig aan te brengen. Omdat hij zo creamy aanvoelt, is hij niet kiss-proof 😉

Here you can see the effect of Fab Orange in a full face picture and up-close. The lip pencil is matte, but feels very comfortable on the lips and is opaque in one swipe. The fact that it feels so creamy on the lips, makes it non-kissproof 😉 This Color Drama intense lip pencil makes me happy & I’m curious about the rest of the collection!
